#ThinkDavis | Installation at SOFA Chicago, 2014

SOFA Chicago is a yearly event in which 6 schools are selected from conceptual submissions. Our installation, #ThinkDavis, which won the audience choice award, is premised on the idea of connections; the idea that design doesn’t develop in or inhabit a bubble: but that it is, at a fundamental level an evolving set of connections. #ThinkDavis was composed of a series of large, lightweight chairs that could be moved around to create different configurations. The seats were made entirely from collected cardboard. Student design team included: Samantha Block, Malak Dirdiry, Emily Harris, Nima Rahni, Madeleine Salem, Lawrence Yuan. In addition to the grant from SOFA Chicago, these students were awarded a travel grant from UC Davis to participate and install our entry.
