| Journalist's
Residence This project posed the challenge; how to make space for a journalist with a 1000 book collection who has only one room in which to eat, sleep, work, and relaxe? The design takes a 12”x 36” box, which can hold books, and stacks them around the perimeter of the room. These boxes are staggered in such a manner to make room for “spot” program between the boxes; lights, a TV, large books that don’t fit in the boxes themselves, and artwork. Since the client has only one main room, the kitchen was designed to disappear; all appliances are on the inner side of a partial island. Extra kitchen storage disappears into an existing niche. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
